Responsibilities
Perform structural analysis and design of offshore jacket structures, including legs, braces, joints, appurtenances, and pile interface details.
Prepare and review structural design calculations, analysis reports, material specifications, and construction-related engineering documents for jacket structures.
Carry out engineering checks for in-place, fatigue, seismic, transportation, loadout, launch, upending, installation, and accidental loading conditions as required by the project *************
Develop and review structural models using relevant engineering software such as SACS, SESAM, STAAD.Pro, ANSYS, ABAQUS, or equivalent tools depending on project requirements.
Review fabrication drawings, structural details, material take-off, and vendor documentation to ensure technical compliance and constructability.
Coordinate with naval architecture, piping, mechanical, subsea, geotechnical, procurement, fabrication, and installation teams to ensure proper interface management.
Support transportation and installation engineering activities related to loadout, sea fastening, lifting, launch, upending, and pile installation interfaces.
Ensure structural engineering deliverables comply with applicable offshore standards and codes such as ISO 19901, EN 19902, DNV, NORSOK, API RP 2A, AISC, and project-specific requirements.
Participate in design reviews, HAZID, constructability reviews, client meetings, and technical clarifications during engineering and execution stages.
Provide technical support during fabrication, offshore installation, pre-commissioning, and field engineering activities when required.
Review non-conformance reports, field changes, and technical deviations, and propose practical engineering solutions.
Maintain quality, safety, and schedule performance for assigned structural engineering deliverables.
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is required.
Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant offshore structural engineering experience, with proven exposure to jacket structures in oil and gas projects.
Strong knowledge of offshore structural analysis, steel design, fatigue assessment, and fabrication principles is required.
Familiarity with offshore design software such as SACS, SESAM, STAAD.Pro, ANSYS, ABAQUS, or similar engineering tools is preferred.
Good understanding of offshore design codes, class requirements, and project engineering workflows is essential.
Experience in EPC, EPCI, brownfield, or greenfield offshore projects is an advantage.
Strong coordination, report writing, communication, and problem-solving skills are required.
