Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Computer Vision Engineer role based in Bukit Panjang. The Computer Vision Engineer will design, implement, and optimize computer vision algorithms for tasks such as object detection, tracking, and recognition to support Famille C Participations’ applied projects. Daily responsibilities include building and maintaining data pipelines, preparing and labeling datasets, and training, evaluating, and fine-tuning models using conventional vision techniques and deep learning frameworks. The role involves integrating computer vision modules into production-grade software, writing clean and testable code, and collaborating with cross-functional teammates to translate product requirements into technical specifications. The engineer will also benchmark performance, troubleshoot system issues, document solutions, and stay current with research and tools in computer vision, machine learning, and edge deployment.
Qualifications
- Solid foundation in Computer Engineering or related fields, with knowledge of embedded systems, hardware–software integration, and performance optimization.
- Academic or professional background in Computer Science, focusing on algorithms, data structures, and applied machine learning or computer vision.
- Hands-on Software Development experience in languages such as Python or C++, including use of libraries and frameworks like OpenCV, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Ability to perform systematic Troubleshooting, debugging, and performance profiling of vision pipelines and deployed applications.
- Awareness of Cybersecurity principles relevant to data handling, model deployment, and secure software practices.
- Experience with dataset preparation, annotation tools, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in an on-site environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
