Act as deputy to the Master and assume command when required
Supervise deck department and ensure safe deck operations
-Manage stability, trim, cargo loading/unloading, and ballasting
-Oversee maintenance of deck equipment, lifesaving and firefighting appliances
-Perform duties as Safety Officer, including drills, training, and safety reporting
-Ensure compliance with SMS, HSE, and statutory requirements
