Requirements

Experience & Education:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of proven experience in B2B tech sales, software sales, or IT solutions consulting.
  • Diverse Sales Track Record: Experience selling both out-of-the-box SaaS products and custom software/agency services is highly preferred.
  • Industry Familiarity: Direct experience or a strong understanding of the educational sector or the commodities/trading/plantations market will give you a massive advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

  • The "Chameleon" Pitch: Ability to adjust your vocabulary and sales approach depending on whether you are speaking to a school principal, a seasoned commodity trader, or a tech-savvy CTO.
  • Technical Literacy: You don’t need to code, but you must understand the fundamentals of software development, web design architectures, and APIs to talk intelligently with custom dev clients.
  • Exceptional Communication: Stellar verbal, written, and presentation skills. You can explain complex technical concepts in a simple, benefit-driven manner.
  • CRM Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern CRM platforms for pipeline management and forecasting.

Responsibilities

As a Software Sales Consultant, you will not just be selling software - you will be a strategic partner to our clients. You will manage the entire sales lifecycle, from identifying new leads to closing high-value contracts. Because our product suite is diverse (ranging from EdTech and ERP to tailored tech services), you must be a versatile hybrid salesperson capable of shifting from SaaS sales to deep, consultative enterprise selling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Pipeline Generation: Actively prospect, cold-call, and network to generate high-quality leads across educational institutions, trading/commodity/plantation firms, and corporate enterprises.
  • Consultative Selling & Demos: Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations tailored to the specific pain points of diverse stakeholders.
  • Solution Scoping: Collaborate closely with our technical and development teams to scope requirements for custom software and website projects, ensuring accurate proposals and quotes. Provide feedback from prospects to the product team for product improvement.
  • Relationship & Account Management: Build long-term, trusting relationships with clients to ensure high retention rates, upselling opportunities, and referrals.
  • Deal Closure & Negotiation: Manage contract negotiations, handle objections with ease, and close deals efficiently to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends in EdTech, ERP, and general software development to position us effectively against competitors.
