We are seeking an experienced Digital IC Design Engineer for our client to support the development of mixed-signal semiconductor solutions from design implementation through to final chip integration and product delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop mixed-signal subsystems for chip-level integration in accordance with project specifications and engineering standards.
- Conduct micro-architecture studies and feasibility evaluations to determine effective hardware implementations for digital IP blocks based on product and system requirements.
- Develop RTL logic designs using Verilog HDL for digital modules such as power and clock management units, I2C/I3C interfaces, SoundWire interfaces, digital filters, and related functional blocks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support design reviews, verification activities, and project milestones throughout the development lifecycle.
- Perform logic synthesis, timing analysis, and power optimisation to improve design performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Support pre-silicon verification activities using established methodologies, including constrained random verification, UVM-based test benches, mixed-signal co-simulation, and FPGA emulation where applicable.
- Assist in silicon validation, bring-up activities, debugging, and issue resolution in partnership with validation and product engineering teams.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation in line with internal quality standards and project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, workplace safety guidelines, and applicable industry standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in digital CMOS IC design or semiconductor design engineering.
- Proficiency in Verilog HDL and digital RTL design methodologies.
- Experience with logic simulation tools, waveform analysis tools, synthesis, timing analysis, and power analysis tools.
- Familiarity with verification methodologies such as UVM, constrained random verification, FPGA emulation, or mixed-signal verification techniques will be advantageous.
- Good understanding of digital interface protocols such as I2C, I3C, I2S, SoundWire, or similar communication interfaces.
- Exposure to high-level modelling tools or languages used for subsystem evaluation and algorithm development is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based and cross-functional environment.
