Our ecosystem includes healthcare, wellness, ecommerce, technology, and education-focused business units. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a strong Accounting & Finance Manager who can lead financial control, reporting, compliance, budgeting, and strategic finance across the group.

This role is suitable for someone who is not only good with numbers, but also mature, structured, trustworthy, and able to support business decision-making at management level.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Accounting & Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the full accounting and finance function of SuamiSihat Holding Sdn Bhd and its related companies.

You will oversee financial reporting, cash flow, budgeting, internal controls, tax matters, payments, collections, payroll-related finance coordination, and management reporting.

This role requires someone who can operate both strategically and hands-on. You must be able to understand the business, guide the finance team, protect company cash flow, improve financial visibility, and help management make better decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Full Set Accounting & Financial Reporting

You will oversee and ensure proper accounting records for the company and related entities.

Responsibilities include:-

• Manage full set of accounts

• Ensure accurate bookkeeping and monthly closing

• Prepare monthly management accounts

• Review profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and financial position

• Monitor account receivables and account payables

• Ensure proper reconciliation of bank accounts, payment gateways, vendors, and intercompany transactions

• Maintain strong documentation for audit and compliance purposes

2. Cash Flow Management & Payment Control

You will play a key role in protecting company cash flow and ensuring financial discipline.

Responsibilities include:-

• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow

• Prepare cash flow forecasts for management

• Review upcoming expenses, commitments, and liabilities

• Ensure payments are properly verified before approval

• Act as one of the key checkers in the maker-checker payment process

• Prevent unnecessary leakage, duplicate payments, and undocumented spending

• Improve the company’s payment approval workflow

3. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning

You will support the company’s growth by creating better financial planning visibility.

Responsibilities include:-

• Prepare annual and quarterly budgets

• Track budget vs actual performance

• Work with department heads to understand spending, revenue, and resource needs

• Build financial forecasts for different business units

• Highlight risks, gaps, and opportunities to management

• Support business expansion planning with financial projections

• Help management understand the financial impact of strategic decisions

4. Tax, Audit & Compliance

You will ensure the company remains compliant with financial, tax, and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities include:-

• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, banks, and relevant authorities

• Ensure SST, corporate tax, PCB, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and other statutory matters are properly coordinated

• Prepare and provide documents for audit and tax submissions

• Ensure deadlines are tracked and met

• Maintain proper filing and compliance records

• Identify and resolve accounting or compliance issues early

5. Internal Control & SOP Development

You will help strengthen financial governance across the group.

Responsibilities include:

• Create and improve finance SOPs

• Implement proper maker-checker approval structure

• Strengthen internal controls for payments, claims, procurement, and collections

• Ensure every financial transaction has proper documentation

• Improve finance workflows between departments

• Reduce dependency on informal instructions and manual tracking

• Build a more transparent and accountable finance system

6. Management Reporting & Business Advisory

This role requires more than basic accounting. You must be able to translate financial data into business insights.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare financial dashboards and management reports

• Present key finance updates to CEO and management

• Highlight cash flow concerns, margin issues, cost leakages, and financial risks

• Provide recommendations to improve profitability

• Support pricing, margin analysis, and business unit performance tracking

• Help management understand the company’s financial health in a clear and practical way

7. Team Leadership & Cross-Department Coordination

You will lead and guide the accounting and finance function.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage finance executives, account assistants, or admin-finance staff

• Review the work of junior team members

• Train team members on accounting discipline and documentation

• Coordinate with HR, operations, clinic, ecommerce, and management teams

• Ensure finance does not operate in isolation, but supports the whole company

• Build a culture of accuracy, responsibility, confidentiality, and accountability

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate should have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA, or equivalent is an advantage

• Minimum 5 to 8 years of accounting and finance experience

• Experience in a senior finance, finance manager, head of finance, or accounting manager role

• Strong knowledge of full set accounts, tax, audit, compliance, and management reporting

• Experience handling multiple companies or group-level accounts is an advantage

• Strong understanding of cash flow management and internal control

• Familiarity with accounting systems such as Xero, SQL Accounting, AutoCount, QuickBooks, or similar

• Good Excel or Google Sheets skills

• Able to work independently and manage confidential information

• Strong attention to detail

• Mature, trustworthy, structured, and able to handle pressure

• Able to communicate financial matters clearly to non-finance team members
