Responsibilities

Job Overview

Accountable for providing high-quality theoretical and clinical teaching, guidance, and supervision to nursing graduates and staff. You will develop core competencies, ensure safe patient care, and collaborate with affiliated university learning activities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Organize, schedule, and evaluate student nurses' clinical learning experiences and performance during attachments.
  • Coordinate internal and external training, workshops, and continuous educational opportunities across all career development stages.
  • Deliver competency-based programs for staff nurses to foster skill improvement and new knowledge acquisition.
  • Conduct clinical rounds to ensure high standards of care and provide feedback for staff performance appraisals.
  • Organize orientation programs for student nurses, new recruitment nurses, and care assistants.
  • Review nursing policies and procedures periodically to ensure alignment with current standards and statutory requirements.
  • Evaluate compliance with quality, safety, and accreditation systems, including National Nursing Audits and Patient Safety Goals.
  • Monitor equipment records, drug storage, and emergency trolley compliance in collaboration with the Unit Manager.
  • Participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and the implementation of corrective measures.
  • Actively manage student welfare, including the inspection and maintenance of clinical posting hostels.

Job Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) from the Nursing Board of Malaysia.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience with a diverse background in practice and teaching.
  • Possess a valid teaching permit and any recognized post-basic qualification in nursing.
  • Possess a Bachelor of Nursing (or enroll in a bachelor's program within two years of promotion).
  • Certified in teaching methodology, BLS, ACLS, MTLS, PALS, and NRP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and fluently writing and conversing in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Willingness to work scheduled hours, shifts, weekends, public holidays, and emergency on-call duties.

Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
