About the Role
We are looking for a confident and customer-friendly Retail Sales Assistant to join our computer hardware store at Sim Lim Square. The candidate should have good knowledge and experience in computer retail, hardware products, and customer handling.
The ideal candidate should be able to explain products clearly, assist customers professionally, and support daily shop operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to walk-in customers and understand their requirements.
- Recommend suitable computer hardware, accessories, and related products.
- Explain product specifications, pricing, warranty, and compatibility clearly.
- Handle customer questions, complaints, and after-sales enquiries professionally.
- Assist with sales transactions, invoices, quotations, and basic cashiering duties.
- Maintain product displays and keep the shop neat and organized.
- Check stock availability and assist with inventory updates.
- Use Microsoft Excel for stock lists, price lists, sales records, and basic reporting.
- Support the team with daily retail operations.
Requirements
- Candidate should have studied in Singapore through local education institutions such as:
- Primary school
- Secondary school
- ITE / Polytechnic
- Junior College or other Singapore-based colleges
- Good experience in computer retail sales is preferred.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware such as desktops, laptops, PC parts, monitors, printers, networking products, and accessories.
- Able to use Microsoft Excel for basic data entry, stock tracking, and sales records.
- Good communication skills and able to speak with customers confidently.
- Able to handle customers politely, patiently, and professionally.
- Sales-driven, responsible, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Prior experience working in Sim Lim Square or a computer shop will be an advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of PC components such as CPU, motherboard, RAM, SSD, graphics card, power supply, casing, and cooling systems.
- Ability to recommend suitable products based on customer budget and needs.
- Basic troubleshooting knowledge for computers and accessories.
- Comfortable dealing with different types of customers
Pay: $1,510.40 - $2,152.46 per month

- Lower Secondary Qualification (Preferred)
Experience:
- Retail sales: 1 year (Preferred)
