Job Description

Responsibilities

Objective: 

We are currently seeking an Engineering Solutions Development Director specializing in Engineering pre-sales consulting, product demonstrations, solution development and pricing support related to engineering products and services.  This role sits within Asia Pacific Client Growth – Functional Occupier Solutions structure and supports the Asia Pacific Work Dynamics business.  Our engineering solutions mission is to increase the efficiency through the entire solutioning journey by providing supportive and timely sales content, pitch support, product demonstrations, pre-sales support, RFP/RFI response, sales strategy, pricing and solutioning reviews and support focusing on technical and engineering service lines. 

What this job involves: 

This position will include bringing best engineering practices to the sales and solutioning process, all while working closely with the regional teams to improve performance and increase speed of engineering content delivery. You will… 

  • Act as subject matter expert in the engineering operations/products arena supporting the Asia Pacific Work Dynamics (WD) business. 

  • Provide engineering expertise and support on new sales opportunities including expansions within the current portfolio, net new opportunities, and renewals. 

  • Work closely with sales and solutions functional leadership to drive engineering best practices within the IFM bid responses.  

  • Manage and lead the sales development of the engineering specialty products and drive coordination with the department leaders to manage sales platform and pipeline reporting. 

  • Support the divisional WD leadership and central solution/sales teams on technical sales pitches and client engagements/presentations.  Participate in client presentations and client Q & A sessions. 

  • Improve speed-to-respond with regards to engineering product demonstrations and proposal inputs.  

  • Encourage team innovation by establishing more tailored and unique engineering solutions for addressing client challenges, outcomes, and business requirements. 

  • Participate in RFP/RFI response efforts as needed; this could include collaborating on technical responses, example deliverables, presentations, staffing model development and pricing exercises.  Make recommendations to the bid management team on improvements to proposal language and technical deliverables.  

  • Collaborate with EMEA and Americas regions for global pursuits to create a cohesive engineering delivery model that is scalable while being regionally viable and pragmatic. 

  • Leverage broader JLL Engineering Operations, Product and Global Operations expertise to help Solutions Development with best-in-class engineering approach. 

  • Attend sales pursuit debriefs to provide feedback on the sales cycle, team approach, win themes, and client engagement related to the engineering services lifecycle. 

  • Act as a liaison with the engineering organization and the Product Engineering team for continual product improvement, idea sharing, and general collaboration. 

  • Develop and lead the bundling of engineering, specialty services and technical solutions and products to produce value added offerings. 

  • Display leadership characteristics that motivate the team to work cross-functionally with many different levels of sellers. 

  • Work with the Sales & Solutions team to develop strategies, guidelines and templates to improve success and seller experience. 

  • Be an active member of the Regional and Global JLL Engineering community. 

  • Implement standard business operating mechanisms such as regular team meetings, strategic review forums, training conferences and regular analysis and reporting processes to ensure team engagement and alignment and to provide an effective and efficient Engineering Solutions Development.  

  • Position could require up to 30% travel.

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent. 

  • Minimum of 15 years engineering operations solutions/sales experience related to FM service delivery and technical services deployments 

  • Sales engineering and solutions experience required 

  • Experience with supporting sales presentations and leading as the engineering solutions subject matter expert 

  • Ability to interact with c-suite, internally and externally 

  • Thorough knowledge of sales & solutions process, ability to convert prospect clients to solution/win/transition phase 

  • Ability to articulate value proposition to prospect clients(c-suite) and deliver on developed engineering solution 

  • Other assignments as required
