Responsibilities

Tea Barista Manager/ Tea Bar Supervisor – Scope of Duties

Ability to work under pressure and able to oversee the whole set up

Role Summary

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the tea and beverage station, ensuring consistent product quality, staff performance, customer satisfaction, and continuous development of new tea products.

Key Responsibilities

1. Tea & Beverage Operations

Prepare and serve tea and bubble tea beverages according to company standards.

Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of all beverages.

Monitor tea brewing procedures, ingredient usage, and product freshness.

Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards at all times.

2. Staff Management & Supervision

Recruit, train, and supervise tea bar staff.

Prepare and manage staff work schedules and duty rosters.

Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and performance.

Conduct on-the-job coaching and skills development.

Foster teamwork and a positive working environment.

3. Training & Development

Develop training materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Train new staff on beverage preparation, customer service, and food safety requirements.

Conduct refresher training to maintain service and product standards.

4. Product Research & Development (R&D)

Research and develop new tea recipes and beverage concepts.

Source and evaluate new tea leaves, ingredients, toppings, and brewing methods.

Conduct product testing and customer feedback sessions.

Recommend seasonal and promotional beverages to increase sales.

5. Inventory & Cost Control

Monitor stock levels of tea leaves, syrups, toppings, and consumables.

Conduct regular stock counts and inventory reconciliation.

Minimize wastage and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO).

Assist in purchasing and supplier evaluation.

6. Customer Service

Handle customer enquiries and feedback professionally.

Ensure excellent customer experience and service standards.

Resolve beverage quality issues promptly.

7. Sales & Promotion Support

Support marketing campaigns and promotional activities.

Monitor beverage sales trends and recommend improvements.

Assist in introducing new menu items and promotional products.
