About RISE
RISE is BCG's upskilling initiative in Singapore, delivering programs for mid-career professionals and small and medium enterprises. Backed by the Singapore government, RISE operates at the intersection of social impact and business performance, and is part of BCG's global capability building division, BCGU. We are a fast-growing, mission-driven business in its scaling phase, and we are looking for exceptional talent to help us get to the next level.
About the Role
You will be the operational backbone and strategic partner to the RISE leadership. This is a high-impact role where you will own the execution of strategic planning, stakeholder communications, and cross-functional operations — freeing leadership to focus on vision and high-level decision-making.
You will have a front-row seat to how a complex, mission-driven business is run. This role is an excellent launchpad for aspiring operational leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Executive Communications and Presentations — Own the development of all decks and presentation materials for internal leadership meetings, quarterly client updates, and board-style meetings with BCG partners and clients. Translate strategic narratives into compelling, polished communications and iterate based on feedback.
- Strategic Planning Operations — Lead the logistical and operational execution of planning cycles across the business — including, for example, annual and quarterly planning — coordinating with all functions to build out their plans, managing timelines, consolidating priorities and KPIs into dashboards, and tracking follow-up activities across teams.
- Cross-Functional Liaison and Enablement — Act as the connective tissue between leadership and all departments. Coordinate special projects that don't sit neatly in one function, support teams in pushing initiatives forward, and ensure decisions cascade effectively throughout the organisation.
- Project Quarterbacking — Take ownership of new projects and initiatives as they emerge, driving them from scoping through to execution. You are comfortable picking up ambiguous, fast-moving priorities and running with them independently, keeping all stakeholders aligned and informed along the way.
- Research and Business Intelligence — Conduct strong research when needed on best practices for scaling operations, optimising each function, and identifying new business opportunities. Leverage AI tools and other resources to synthesise findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Operations Automation and Simplification — Work with RISE leadership to streamline and automate operational processes using tools like Asana and other technology platforms. Reduce manual work on low-value tasks so the team can focus on high-impact activities.
- Stakeholder Management — Prepare briefing and strategic materials and manage logistics for quarterly client meetings, bi-monthly BCGU leadership updates, and ongoing communications with BCG partners and RISE's leadership team.
Ideal Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in strategy consulting, operations, or a fast-moving startup environment — enough to operate with significant independence and be a genuine source of leverage for the leadership
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation design and executive-level correspondence
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities with grace and clarity
- Actively and enthusiastically using AI tools in your day-to-day work — not just aware of them, but experimenting, automating, and finding new ways to apply them to real problems
- Strong intellectual curiosity, instinct, and research capability to get to a sharp, well-synthesised answer fast
- Proficiency with project management and presentation platforms (e.g. Asana, PowerPoint)
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and turning loose direction into structured, high-quality output with minimal guidance
- Prior experience as a chief of staff or operations manager at a scaling organisation is a strong plus
- Familiarity with strategic planning frameworks is an advantage
- Genuine interest in company building, operations, social impact, and upskilling
What We're Looking For
You are sharp, intellectually curious, and an exceptional communicator. You don't wait to be told how to solve a problem — you figure it out, and you reach for the best available tools to do so faster and better. You are genuinely excited about AI and automation, not as buzzwords but as practical levers you use every day. You thrive on being the glue that holds things together and take pride in enabling others' success. You are energised by variety, comfortable with ambiguity, and ready to hit the ground running with minimal hand-holding.
