The Nicol David Organisation, a nonprofit based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, was founded by Squash Legend Datuk Nicol David and Mariana de Reyes to empower communities through sports, education, mental health, and empowerment initiatives. Its three core programs, "Little Legends," "Ibu Legends," and "Positive Play" (+PLAY), support children, mothers, and public schools across Malaysia. To date, the organisation has reached 2,700 beneficiaries across three states, offering squash training, English tutoring, life skills workshops, mental health and nutrition education, and physical activity programs. By 2026, the foundation aims to impact 5,000 beneficiaries nationwide, further solidifying its role in advancing education, health, and leadership for underserved communities.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in WP. Kuala Lumpur, for a dedicated Sports Coach. As a Sports Coach, you will plan and facilitate engaging sports and physical education sessions for children and youth across various programs, focusing on their physical and mental well-being. Responsibilities include coaching children in squash and other sports, developing customized training programs, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship, and fostering an active, healthy lifestyle. Additionally, you will collaborate with other team members to align activities with the organisation’s mission of empowerment through sports and education.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in Physical Education and Sports Training
• Experience in Coaching and Sports Coaching
• Excellent Communication skills to effectively teach and foster relationships with children and families
• Passion for promoting health, education, and empowerment through sports
• Ability to work on-site and show adaptability in a dynamic environment
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a relevant field (preferred but not mandatory)
• Previous experience working with children and/or community programs is a plus
