We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using Java Spring Boot and drive technical innovation in Wealth Management products.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using Java Spring Boot and React.
• Build and optimise RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Implement and maintain Micro Frontend (MFE) architectures.
• Drive best practices across the entire technology stack.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, stakeholders, and other tech teams to deliver high-quality products.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues spanning frontend and backend systems.
• Contribute to system design discussions and the technical roadmap.
• Lead technical innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 21) with expert-level knowledge of Spring Boot framework (MVC, Data, Security, Cloud).
• Deep understanding of modulith/microservices patterns and relational databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL), including SQL optimisation.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design principles and experience with message queues (Kafka, IBM MQ).
• Expertise in unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito, Karate) and familiarity with design patterns and SOLID principles.
• 1–3 years of relevant backend development experience preferred.
