Role Description This is an on-site internship role for a Front Desk Sales Executive based in Petaling Jaya. The intern will welcome visitors, answer phone calls and inquiries, and direct guests or callers to the appropriate person or department. Daily responsibilities include managing front desk operations, maintaining visitor logs, and ensuring the reception area is organized and professional. The role also involves introducing services to walk-in visitors, supporting sales inquiries, and assisting with basic administrative tasks such as data entry, appointment scheduling, and documentation. The intern will collaborate closely with the sales and operations teams, follow established procedures, and provide attentive, respectful service to all visitors and clients.
Qualifications
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to greet visitors professionally, handle inquiries, and maintain a positive, helpful attitude at the front desk.
  • Effective communication skills, including clear spoken English and the ability to listen actively, convey information accurately, and interact confidently with diverse individuals.
  • Basic sales and service mindset, with interest in presenting services, supporting sales follow-ups, and learning how to handle walk-in and phone-based inquiries.
  • Organizational and administrative abilities, including maintaining records, managing appointments, handling basic data entry, and keeping the reception area orderly.
  • Comfort with basic office technology such as email, word processing, spreadsheets, and phone systems; willingness to learn internal tools and systems.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, with reliability, punctuality, and the ability to follow established front desk and confidentiality procedures.
  • Ability to work on-site in Petaling Jaya for the duration of the internship and collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Diploma or undergraduate study in Business, Hospitality, Communications, or a related field is an advantage, but candidates with relevant interest and aptitude are encouraged to apply.
