Job Title : Senior Mechanical Package Engineer (FPSO)

Location : Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Package Engineer to support major FPSO and offshore projects. The role involves engineering, specification, procurement support, vendor management, testing, and integration of mechanical equipment packages across FEED, EPC, and EPCIC phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical package engineering for FPSO and offshore projects.
• Develop/review datasheets, technical specifications, and material requisitions.
• Manage package equipment: pumps, compressors, turbines, HVAC, chemical injection, utilities, and material handling packages.
• Conduct Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE), Vendor Data Review (VDR), and support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Coordinate with vendors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support commissioning and offshore installation activities.
• Ensure compliance with API, ASME, ISO, and project standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years in offshore oil & gas, preferably FPSO projects.
• Hands-on experience in package engineering, vendor management, and procurement.
• Knowledge of TBE, VDR, FAT, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with EPC/EPCM/EPCIC execution and international standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

• Experience with FPSO operators, EPC contractors, offshore consultancies, or shipyards.
