Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to support and maintain our production database environment. The role will focus on ensuring database stability, performance, security, and availability while working closely with internal teams to support business operations and application delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor SQL Server production databases to ensure high availability, reliability, and secure operations.
• Perform database maintenance, performance tuning, backup and restore activities, and incident troubleshooting.
• Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and recovery execution when needed.
• Work with application and infrastructure teams to resolve database-related issues and improve system performance.
• Maintain database standards, documentation, and operational procedures for production support.
• Support PostgreSQL and related database technologies where required.

Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server database administration, preferably in a production environment.

• Strong knowledge of backup and recovery, performance tuning, indexing, query troubleshooting, and security best practices.
• Experience with high availability and disaster recovery concepts such as Always On, clustering, or replication will be an advantage.
• Ability to support urgent production incidents and work with cross-functional teams in a structured and professional manner.
• Exposure to PostgreSQL is an added advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to database health management.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
