Reporting To

Position Summary

Responsible to overseeing and optimizing the performance of ground handling operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves strategic planning, data analysis, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within Domestic Operations and Hub Control Centre department. Manage, administer and monitor overall performance in accordance to the KPI for all stations determined by the Senior Manager, Domestic Operations & Hub Control Centre. He/She will review performance reports of the station to identify necessary data and information for continuous station operations efficiency.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure overall performance are met and operating cost-effectively within the approved budgets in a safe and secured manner to meet SLA requirements and satisfy customer airlines.
  • Assisting Manager, Domestic Operations and Hub Control Centre is responsible in establishing department goals, plan, implementation, evaluate and improve the efficiency of the business processes and procedures to enhance productivity, quality and efficiency.
  • Planning financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Constantly coach and engage the team leaders to ensure the team is able to achieve set targets.
  • Providing support to line managers for effective performance feedback to ensure stations meet the organization expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
  • Instil working culture within the business unit that aligns with health, safety, security and environment policies and procedures by continually promoting, motivating and raising staffs’ awareness in collaboration with Quality Assurance Safety and Security (QASS) Department.
  • Maintaining good relationship within internal and external stakeholders in keeping up with latest industry update by attending meeting and functions.
  • Ensuring departmental administrative matters are managed according to Corporate Policy and Procedures

Qualifications and Years of Experience

  • Tertiary education (Degree/Professional qualifications) in any field of study or its equivalent from recognized institutions with at least 2-5 years working experience in airport operations and ground handling.
  • Tertiary education (STPM/Diploma) with minimum 5-10 years working experience in airport operations and ground handling

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong leadership/ coaching qualities, able to work as a team in achieving quality outputs/ deliverables.
  • Able to command and provide guidance in any crisis or emergency situations.
  • Knowledgeable ground handling business, Business Continuity Management (ERP and BCP) Airlines SLA and IATA Standard Ground Handle Agreement.
  • Good project management skill.
  • Self-motivator with amicable personality, high integrity and ethic value.
  • Able to analyse and make decision creatively.
  • Oversight the compliance level of AeroDarat Services including vendors to MAB and contractual customer airlines at Domestic Stations.
  • Able to work well under pressure
