Customer Centre Manager – East Malaysia (Heavy Industrial)

A leading multinational organization within the industrial air compressor and engineering solutions industry is looking to hire a Customer Centre Manager to lead its commercial and operational activities across East Malaysia.

This role is to be based in Bintulu, Sarawak, and candidates should be comfortable relocating and travelling within the East Malaysia region as required.

This position is responsible for driving branch growth, leading sales and service operations, managing key customer relationships, and ensuring strong operational execution across the region.

The ideal candidate should come with a strong industrial sales and leadership background, preferably within air compressors, rotating equipment, industrial machinery, or engineering solutions environments.

Core Focus of the Role

This role is centered around:

• Driving sales growth and branch performance across East Malaysia
• Managing commercial operations and customer relationships
• Leading branch teams and operational execution in Bintulu

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Growth

• Drive business growth across:
• Industrial equipment sales
• Parts and aftermarket services
• Service contracts and maintenance solutions
• Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies for East Malaysia
• Identify new business opportunities, key accounts, and growth markets

Commercial & Branch Operations

• Take ownership of branch sales and revenue performance
• Manage sales forecasting, pipeline reviews, and operational performance meetings
• Ensure business strategies are effectively implemented and executed

Customer Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key industrial customers across East Malaysia
• Ensure alignment between customer expectations and branch execution on:
• Service delivery
• Pricing
• Safety standards
• Operational support

Operational & Financial Management

• Ensure branch operations comply with company policies, financial controls, and ESH standards
• Monitor branch operational efficiency and commercial performance
• Support monthly accounts receivable (AR) collection targets and cash flow management

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and develop branch teams across sales and service functions
• Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture
• Drive accountability, customer focus, and operational excellence within the branch

Ideal Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business, or related field

Minimum 8 years of experience within:

• Industrial equipment sales
• Air compressors
• Rotating equipment
• Industrial engineering solutions

Proven experience managing sales teams and branch operations

Strong commercial acumen and customer management capability

Strong negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Ability to drive growth while managing operational performance

Comfortable being based in Bintulu, Sarawak and travelling within East Malaysia
