About the role

Glory Education & Training Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary English Teacher to join our dynamic primary education team in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in shaping young learners' English language skills and fostering a love of learning. As an Elementary English Teacher, you will be at the forefront of our educational mission, delivering high-quality instruction to primary school students and contributing to their academic and personal development. Your expertise in English language instruction will directly impact our students' communication abilities, literacy development, and overall academic success.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons to primary school students in accordance with the curriculum framework and learning objectives
• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages active participation and fosters student confidence in English language learning
• Assess student progress through various formative and summative assessment methods, and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
• Develop age-appropriate teaching materials, resources and activities that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements and areas for development
• Collaborate with fellow teaching staff to coordinate curriculum delivery, share best practices and support whole-school initiatives
• Monitor and manage student behaviour in line with school policies, promoting discipline and respect within the classroom
• Participate in professional development opportunities and training to enhance teaching methodologies and subject matter expertise
• Organise and facilitate extracurricular activities, competitions and events related to English language learning
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades and progress documentation

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Education, English Language, English Literature or a related field
• Valid teaching qualification or certification recognised in Malaysia (e.g. Diploma in Teaching, Teacher's Certificate)
• Proven experience teaching English to primary school students (minimum 2-3 years preferred)
• Strong command of English language with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging, interactive and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners
• Proficiency in using technology and digital learning tools to enhance teaching and learning experiences
• Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a positive and disciplined learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students, parents and colleagues
• Creativity, enthusiasm and passion for teaching and student development
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to school culture and initiatives
• Organisational skills and attention to detail in maintaining records and documentation
