About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated High School Science Teacher to join Glory Education & Training Sdn. Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. As a High School Science Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the scientific understanding and critical thinking skills of our secondary students. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive science education that inspires a passion for learning and prepares students for academic success and future scientific endeavours.

What you'll be doing

• Planning, preparing and delivering high-quality science lessons in accordance with the national curriculum and school guidelines
• Creating stimulating and interactive learning environments that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
• Conducting practical laboratory experiments and demonstrations to enhance conceptual understanding and engagement
• Assessing student progress through examinations, quizzes, assignments and practical work, providing constructive feedback
• Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, performance and behaviour in compliance with school policies
• Fostering a positive classroom culture that promotes curiosity, collaboration and respect amongst students
• Collaborating with fellow science teachers to develop curriculum resources and share best practices
• Communicating regularly with parents regarding student progress, attendance and behaviour
• Supervising students during field trips, laboratory sessions and extracurricular science activities
• Participating in staff meetings, professional development activities and school events as required

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a related scientific discipline
• Teaching qualification or certification recognised by relevant education authorities in Malaysia
• A minimum of 2 years' experience teaching science at secondary level
• Strong knowledge of secondary science curriculum and examination requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage students effectively
• Proficiency in using educational technology and classroom management software
• The ability to design and conduct safe and engaging laboratory practicals
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple classes and administrative tasks
• A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with scientific advancements
• Experience in developing innovative teaching materials and assessment strategies is preferred
