Role Description This is a full-time Database Administrator role based in Seri Kembangan, offered on a hybrid arrangement that combines on-site work with some work-from-home flexibility. The Database Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining databases across multiple environments and platforms. Daily tasks include monitoring database performance, optimizing queries, tuning configurations, and ensuring high availability, backup, and recovery. The role also involves managing database security, user access, and data integrity, as well as performing upgrades, patches, and migrations. The Database Administrator will troubleshoot incidents, support development and application teams, document procedures, and contribute to the improvement of database standards and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Database Administration and Databases, including managing production, test, and development environments.
  • Proficiency in Database Design and related data modeling concepts to support scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Experience with Troubleshooting and performance analysis for database issues, including root cause identification and resolution.
  • Knowledge of Replication and high-availability configurations across Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies, disaster recovery planning, and security best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Relevant database certifications (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL) are an advantage.
