Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the Payroll & Compliance team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and timely completion of payroll activities.
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for assigned entities/business units, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery within established timelines.
  • Oversee payroll activities including salary processing, allowances, claims, overtime, deductions, statutory contributions, final settlements, and payroll adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and labor regulations, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, HRDF, and other relevant statutory obligations.
  • Review and verify payroll data to ensure accuracy and minimize payroll discrepancies or errors.
  • Handle payroll-related enquiries and resolve escalated payroll issues from employees, managers, and internal stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor and ensure payroll transactions, employee movements, and payroll records are accurately updated in the HRMS system.
  • Support and coordinate payroll audits, reconciliations, and preparation of payroll-related reports for management and statutory purposes.
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, and relevant departments on payroll matters, budgeting, manpower cost reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Review and recommend enhancements to payroll processes, controls, and system improvements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of payroll documentation and records in accordance with audit and compliance requirements.
  • Coach, guide, and support team members to ensure continuous development, teamwork, and achievement of departmental goals.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and security of employee information and payroll data at all times.
  • Lead and support payroll-related projects, process improvement initiatives, and other assigned responsibilities to ensure operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of working experience in payroll processing, payroll administration, or payroll compliance, preferably with experience in handling high-volume payroll.
  • Experience in leading or supervising a payroll team is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, statutory requirements, and labor regulations including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, Employment Act, and other relevant regulations.

Pay: From RM3,500.00 per month
