Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Regional Tax Data Governance
    • Consolidate tax packs (ETR, cash tax, deferred tax, WHT and TP adjustment, consist of Asia pacific entities, supports ETR analysis, Pillar 2 filing and tax planning for other entities of the perimeter
  • International Tax legislation & Analysis
    • Assessment of tax positions and interpretations of our business models
    • Keep up with new tax developments and ensure compliance with local rules and regulations
    • Evaluate the current international tax structure and recommend any changes or planning ideas that will optimize the structure
    • Drive and implement changes required as a result of changes to tax legislation
    • Contribute to tax awareness within the Asia pacific region
  • Risk management: Follow up of litigation / tax audits / health check in Asia Pacific Region including Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Japan etc.; Identification and assessment of risks; Tax-specific data governance
  • Monitoring reorganizations: Identification of opportunities, feasibility analysis, Follow up of their implementation
  • Business Tax Support: Follow up of current operations with Financial Controllers and/or VAT Tax Expert or National Tax Manager ;Deal with tax advisers where necessary
  • Intragroup flows: Review local file and maintain APAC local file dashboard / tracking list; Intragroup flows/ Onestream fee scheme analysis ;VAT analysis of the flows
  • Merger & Acquisitions: Involvement in due diligence, contract drafting, analysis of tax ramifications, building of tax plannings, purchase accounting, integration operations;
  • Tax Training: organization of training for other departments on tax topics
  • Contribute to Group Ethics & Compliance program by applying and respecting code of Ethics and Valeo’s policies
