The Document Controller manages, organizes, and distributes construction project documentation—drawings, specifications, contracts, and RFIs—to ensure the correct, up-to-date information reaches architects, engineers, and contractors. They maintain document control, track revisions to prevent errors, and use Procore to manage technical data.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Management: Organizing, storing, and retrieving electronic and hard-copy documents.
- Version Control: Ensuring only the latest revisions of drawings and documents are used on-site.
- Transmittals and Submissions: Handling the formal submission and receipt of documents between contractors, consultants, and clients.
- Logging and Tracking: Maintaining accurate records in registers of all incoming/outgoing documents.
- Reporting: Producing document progress reports for project managers.
- Quality Control: Checking document formats and accuracy before distribution.
Preferences:
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with construction documents, engineering drawings, and industry terminology.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Procore/ EDMS systems
- Attention to Detail: High precision in tracking revisions, numbering, and document metadata.
- Organization: Ability to handle large volumes of documents and multitask.
- Good command of business writing and English

- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage project documentation accurately and efficiently.
