Responsibilities
AS400 Developer / System Analyst
Employment Type: 12 month contractual role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using RPG (RPG III / RPG IV / RPGLE) on AS400 (IBM i) platform
- Perform system analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation
- Gather and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
- Work closely with stakeholders, especially within banking/financial systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, bugs, and performance concerns
- Support system integration and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Prepare and maintain proper system documentation
- Ensure coding standards and best practices are followed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in RPG / AS400 development
- Experience working in banking or financial services domain
- Strong knowledge of RPG (RPG III / IV / ILE), CL programming
- Good experience with DB2/400 and SQL
- Hands-on experience in system analysis and requirement gathering
- Familiar with SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
