Full Time Technician (Material Testing - NDT ) Jobs, in Quasi-S (Official Page) Selangor - Maukerja

RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY:

1.     a)     To perform metallographic test and onsite material inspection including In-Situ metallographic (replication), hardness test and positive material identification (PMI)

b)     Perform jobs assigned by engineer or supervisor pertaining to hands-on operation for the sample preparation including cutting, cross-cut, etching and specimen preparation and laboratory tests for failure analysis and mechanical lab

c)     Able to commute to ad-hoc laboratory and/or replication work during weekend and public holidays if necessary

d)     To obtain and analyse the microstructures from the replicate and/or moulded sample using metallurgical microscope at laboratory and/or at site activity

e)     To prepare inspection / laboratory report using established format

f)      To assist engineers/supervisor to complete work activities timely, efficiently, and satisfactorily

g)     Perform assigned task by engineers/supervisor in minimal supervision and report/discuss timely on the results outcomes.

h)     Upkeep and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory

i)      Able to work independently and carry out 5S

j)      Perform any other responsibility as assigned.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

a)     Candidate must possess at least a SPM or Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Material Science), Science and Technology or equivalent

b)     At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field

c)     Strong metallurgical and / or chemical background or similar working experience in oil and gas conducting in-situ metallographic (replication) and hardness test and interpret the result

d)     Preferably Non-Executive specializing in Science & Technology /Laboratory / operations or equivalent

e)     Good communication and well versed in basic Microsoft Office applications
