Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Human Resources Payroll role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The role involves managing end-to-end payroll processing, including data entry, verification of attendance and overtime, statutory deductions, and timely salary disbursements in compliance with local regulations and company policies. The individual will maintain accurate employee records, coordinate with HR on new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation or benefits, and respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees in a professional and confidential manner. The role also includes preparing payroll reports for management, supporting audits, and assisting in the implementation and improvement of HR and payroll systems and processes. Collaboration with finance, HR, and other internal stakeholders is required to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant payroll administration.

Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of Human Resources (HR) fundamentals and HR Management, with experience supporting HR operational activities.
  • Knowledge of HR Policies and Employee Benefits, including statutory requirements and best practices in compensation and benefits administration.
  • Experience in Personnel Management, including maintaining employee records, handling confidential information, and supporting employee lifecycle processes.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems and MS Office (especially Excel), with strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of local labor laws, statutory contributions, and payroll compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict payroll deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a service-oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in an energy, engineering, or large project-based environment is an advantage.
