Duties & Responsibilities (Main Tasks)
- Review mechanical & piping drawing, datasheet, calculation and specification to ensure compliance with applicable codes & standard requirement.
- Review and study detail design provided by engineering company/consultant and ensure comply and alignment with the project specification.
- Review details technical submission by vendors and ensure the specification comply with the standard and project requirement.
- Perform the discussion with client to ensure mechanical and piping follow as per their standard and requirement.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of technical documentation such as method statements, inspection & test plans (ITPs), and as-built drawings.
- Manage to advise and brief the vendor and sub-contractor the standard requirement and scope of project.
- Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and performance test of mechanical equipment.
- Perform inspection together with the client for mechanical and piping equipment during receiving stage.
- Provide technical support during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages and assist in system handover to the client.
- Monitor and assist sub-contractor during installation and commissioning work at site.
- Brief details scope of mechanical & piping scope to sub-contractor before start work.
- Prepare and maintain documentation including material approval, inspection reports, progress reports, and technical clarifications.
- Relocate to the project site upon assignment.
- Serve as backup for line engineers in the event of absence or unavailability.
Duties & Responsibilities (Secondary Tasks)
- Maintain proper filing and tracking of project correspondence, vendor documents, and approvals.
- Liaise with authority or client related to mechanical & piping scope.
- Coordinate with the logistics team for mechanical equipment delivery schedules and conduct inspections of incoming equipment.
- Assist in preparing presentations, meeting minutes, or internal coordination documents.
- Participate in in-house training or technical workshops when assigned.
- Provide technical support to others (C&S, Electrical and procurement).
- Support communication and technical coordination with mechanical subcontractors.
Job Qualification & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Registered with Board of Engineer Malaysia.
- Experiences more than 5 year in Oil & Gas industry and EPCC project.
- Expertise in mechanical & piping scope and directly involved in engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning process.
- Proficient in engineering tools and standards such as AutoCAD, ASME, API.
- Familiar with PTS standard.
- Willing to be based in Sipitang or relocate to Sipitang
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
