We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Audio Visual Technician to join our Facilities Management team in Putrajaya. It focuses on ensuring that meeting rooms, conference facilities, training rooms, auditoriums, and digital communication systems operate reliably for building occupants and visitors.
Key Responsibilities of an Audio Visual Technician (Facility Management)
1. AV Systems Operation and Support
- Operate and support audio-visual systems in meeting rooms, boardrooms, training facilities, and auditoriums.
- Provide on-site technical assistance for meetings, conferences, presentations, and special events.
- Ensure all AV equipment is functioning properly before scheduled events.
2. Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of AV equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults related to audio, video, display, and conferencing systems.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for major repairs and equipment upgrades.
3. Meeting Room and Conference Support
- Set up microphones, projectors, displays, video conferencing systems, and presentation equipment.
- Assist users with presentations, hybrid meetings, and video conferencing platforms.
- Monitor and support live events to ensure smooth operation.
AV Asset and Inventory Management
- Maintain records of AV assets, warranties, maintenance schedules, and service reports.
- Monitor equipment lifecycle and recommend replacement or upgrades when necessary.
- Manage inventory of spare parts, cables, and accessories.
5. Vendor and Contractor Coordination
- Liaise with AV contractors, suppliers, and maintenance vendors.
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of new AV systems.
- Verify that contractor work complies with facility standards and specifications.
6. User Support and Training
- Respond to helpdesk tickets and service requests related to AV systems.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on the use of conference room technology.
- Prepare user guides and operating procedures.
7. System Monitoring and Compliance
- Monitor AV system performance and uptime across facilities.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements and company standards.
- Maintain proper cable management and safe equipment installation practices.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering/ Communication Technology or a related field from Polytechnic/IKM/ILP.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in av maintenance, preferably within facilities or building operations.
- Strong understanding of av systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Skilled in using mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit and capable of working in industrial or building environments.
- Willing to work in shifts, including weekends or holidays, as required by operational needs.
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
