Role summary

This is a Transaction Operations role reporting to the Head of Operations. The individual will be part of the Transaction Operations team under the Operations team.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Manage transaction processing of investment instruments (listed, over-the-counter) and activities in ensuring timely issuance of settlement instructions, cash payments/receipts, trade issues and/or failed trades resolution.
• Trading broker and counterparties operational relationship management, which includes but not limiting to new account setups, liaison for trading documentation, managing regular KYC requests.
• Manage trade instructions or book entries that are incidental from portfolio’s transitional activities.
• Contribute to projects, initiatives such as new investment instrument evaluation, workflows automation enhancements evaluation, testing and implementation.

Education Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, computer science or a relevant discipline

Competency

• Operations professional with at least 3 years of relevant experience in middle office functions in asset management or related firms.
• Good understanding traditional asset classes, eg, equity, fixed income, cash products.
• Awareness of the operational risks associated within trade operations with a proactive approach to preventative measures
• Effective in time management with ability to prioritise tasks appropriately
• Ability to learn new skill sets on the job quickly.
• Good communicator (written and spoken) with strong interpersonal skills
• Good team player who embraces a collaborative and open working culture.
• Ability to work under pressure and consistently meeting objectives.
• Candidate with experience in AI automation, programming languages, will have an added advantage.
