We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.

This role is responsible for driving cloud transformation initiatives, establishing cloud architecture standards, and ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-optimized solutions aligned with business and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on expertise in Azure cloud technologies, cloud-native architectures, security, networking, automation, and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Cloud Architecture

• Design end-to-end cloud architectures using Microsoft Azure services across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms.
• Develop cloud solution blueprints, reference architectures, and high-level/low-level technical designs.
• Ensure architecture designs align with best practices for scalability, availability, security, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Define enterprise cloud architecture standards, reusable patterns, and governance controls.

Cloud Transformation & Modernization

• Lead cloud migration, modernization, and transformation initiatives.
• Drive adoption of Azure-native technologies, including:
• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Azure App Services
• Azure Functions
• Containers and Microservices
• Serverless Computing
• Guide engineering teams in implementing cloud-native and DevOps solutions.
• Support Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD automation initiatives.

Technical Leadership

• Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for Azure cloud solutions.
• Provide deep technical expertise across:
• Azure Compute Services
• Azure Networking
• Azure Storage
• Azure Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Azure Security Services
• Azure DevOps
• Review solution designs and implementation approaches to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud architecture and integration issues.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, security teams, and vendors to gather technical and business requirements.
• Translate business needs into scalable and secure Azure solutions.
• Present architectural recommendations, design justifications, technical trade-offs, and roadmap strategies to stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted advisor on Azure cloud adoption and best practices.

Security, Compliance & Governance

• Ensure Azure solutions comply with company security, compliance, and governance requirements.
• Implement and maintain:
• Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Network security controls
• Encryption standards
• Azure Policy governance
• Landing Zone frameworks
• Support cloud cost governance and optimization strategies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and data governance requirements.

Requirements Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, enterprise architecture, or cloud engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale Azure cloud solutions.
• Experience leading cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments is an added advantage.
