About the role

INTAN SETIA ENTERPRISE is seeking a talented Full Stack / Backend Developer to join our growing technology team. This is a full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur with remote work options, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere whilst contributing to innovative software solutions. As a Full Stack / Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems and full-stack applications that power our workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop scalable backend systems and APIs using industry-standard technologies and best practices

2. Build and maintain full-stack applications, ensuring seamless integration between frontend and backend components

3. Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code that adheres to established coding standards and guidelines

4. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain code quality

5. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise application performance across all layers of the technology stack

6. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions

7. Implement security best practices and ensure data protection compliance throughout the development lifecycle

8. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, testing, deployment, and monitoring

9. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, proposing improvements and innovations

What we're looking for

1. Proven professional experience as a Full Stack Developer or Backend Developer with a minimum of 3 years in software development

2. Strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, PHP, or similar technologies

3. Solid understanding of frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js

4. Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

5. Familiarity with RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and cloud-based deployment platforms

6. Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git, and CI/CD pipelines

7. Experience with software testing frameworks and a commitment to test-driven development

8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

9. Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

10. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
