Role Description This is a contract, on-site SQL Developer (Lead) role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The SQL Developer (Lead) will design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to support business applications and reporting needs. The role includes leading database development efforts, reviewing code, enforcing best practices, and mentoring other team members. The individual will collaborate closely with business analysts, data engineers, and application developers to translate requirements into robust database solutions and data models. Day-to-day responsibilities also include troubleshooting performance issues, ensuring data integrity, supporting ETL processes, and contributing to database design and documentation.

Technical Lead

This role also, today, acts, as lead developer who mentors junior and senior output developers to ensure high-quality, scalable technical deliveries.

Role and responsibilities:

1.Together with the business stakeholders, translate business requirements to technical specifications for development.

2.Identify unclear components or specifications as early as possible, so as not to waste development hours and re-work.

3.Provide/Propose technical solutions to output requests

4.Creates common SQL datasets

5.Establish coding standards and strategies

6.Define and document best development practices

7.Establish reusable SQL objects, brand-compliant document templates, and standardized report layouts.

8.Conduct an internal quality audit on junior developers’ deliveries to enforce rigorous data quality, consistency, and efficiency.

9.Run code reviews for critical output requests to validate logic accuracy and adherence to development standards.

10.Encourage refactoring of legacy code or slow-running queries to improve execution time and resolve technical debts.

Must have technical qualifications:

1.Advanced proficiency in MS SQL scripting, including deep knowledge of functions, views, stored procedures, execution plans, and query performance tuning.

2.Extensive hands-on experience with designing, developing, and deploying complex financial reports using Crystal Reports.

3.Competence and experience from financial reporting based on aggregated data in cloud solutions, Azure data factory.

4.Knowledge and experience of Dynamics365 is valuable.
