Role Description The Software Engineer / Developer will work full time in a hybrid arrangement, primarily based in Singapore River with flexibility for some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining back-end web applications and services that support CANOVAS CORPORACION’s digital platforms. The role involves writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, implementing object-oriented solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business and user requirements into technical features. The engineer will also participate in code reviews, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, optimize system performance, and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in building and maintaining production systems.
• Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, working with APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Applied knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns for scalable and maintainable code.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with modern development tools and practices (version control, CI/CD, testing frameworks, code review).
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, communicate clearly with diverse teams, and manage tasks independently.
• Familiarity with web security, cloud platforms, or distributed systems is a plus, as is interest in personal development or impact-driven work.
