Full Time Database Administrator (DBA) Jobs, salary up to SGD 5,500 in SCIENTEC CONSULTING PTE. LTD. - Maukerja

We are looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our organization's databases. You will be responsible for ensuring database availability, security, performance, and reliability while supporting application teams and business operations.

• Working Hours:  Mon-Fri
• Working Location: Central
• Salary Package: Up to $7500 (basic) + AWS +VB

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade database management systems.
• Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and configurations.
• Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Ensure database security, integrity, and compliance with organizational policies.
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and database access controls.
• Support database migration, upgrades, and system integration projects.
• Work closely with developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to support application requirements.
• Develop and maintain database documentation, operational procedures, and best practices.
• Monitor database health, capacity planning, and storage utilization.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
• Experience administering one or more database platforms such as Oracle, or MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of SQL, database design principles, and performance tuning.
• Experience with backup and recovery strategies, replication, and high availability solutions.
• Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows server environments.
• Knowledge of database monitoring and administration tools.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL).
• Knowledge of database automation, scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python), or DevOps practices.
• Experience with database security, encryption, and compliance standards.
• Relevant database certifications (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, AWS, etc.) are an advantage
