Role Description This is a contract, on-site Full Stack Java Developer role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The developer will design, develop, and maintain web applications across both front-end and back-end layers, ensuring performance, security, and reliability. Daily tasks include writing clean, testable Java code, implementing user interfaces, integrating APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver features. The role also involves debugging issues, optimizing existing code, contributing to technical documentation, and participating in code reviews to maintain development standards. The developer will be expected to work closely with stakeholders to support ongoing projects and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Development: Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java (Spring Boot) and React.js.
• Architecture & Design: Collaborate with architects and product owners to define scalable and modular system designs.
• API Development: Build and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring performance, security, and maintainability.
• UI/UX Integration: Translate wireframes and design prototypes into responsive, accessible user interfaces.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using tools like JUnit.
• Code Reviews & Mentorship: Participate in peer reviews and support junior developers through technical guidance.
• Agile Delivery: Contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery in Agile environments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack development.
• Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and React.js.
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern front-end tooling (Webpack, Babel).
• Proficiency in database technologies (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL).

Preferred Skills

• Ability to design UI/UX flows and components in Figma, contributing to both visual and interaction design.
• Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
• Understanding of security best practices in software development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
