Job Description

Responsibilities

Company Description C&R Interiors is a Singapore-based commercial manufacturer established in 1977, with roots in custom-built wood furniture and executive interiors. Over the years, the company has grown from a modest operation into a recognized name in commercial interior manufacturing. C&R Interiors is dedicated to high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail in both design and production. The team is driven by a passion for delivering well-designed, functional interior solutions for business environments. This focus on quality and design offers employees the opportunity to work on diverse, professionally crafted projects.

Role Description The Draftsman role at C&R Interiors is a full-time, on-site position based in Singapore. In this role, the Draftsman prepares detailed technical drawings and shop drawings for interior fit-out and furniture projects using CAD software and other drafting tools. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting design concepts, reviewing architectural plans, coordinating with designers, project managers, and production teams, and ensuring drawings meet design specifications, safety standards, and manufacturing requirements. The Draftsman updates and revises drawings based on feedback, maintains organized documentation of project files, and supports the smooth transition from design to production. Collaboration, accuracy, and clear communication with internal stakeholders are essential.

  • Proficiency with CAD and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar), and familiarity with digital file management.
  • Understanding of interior construction methods, materials, and furniture manufacturing processes, especially wood and joinery work.
  • Strong spatial awareness, attention to detail, and ability to interpret architectural and design specifications accurately.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with designers, engineers, and production teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet project deadlines, and maintain consistent quality in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant technical diploma or degree in drafting, interior design, architecture, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in interior fit-out, furniture manufacturing, or related drafting roles is preferred.
