Job Summary

We are seeking a driven and technically sound EHS & Facilities Engineer to bridge facility operations and statutory safety compliance. You will establish and maintain robust EHS programs while owning critical plant infrastructure and workplace monitoring systems to foster a safety-first culture.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain, and update company EHS procedures in collaboration with management to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Develop and implement behavioral safety initiatives to promote proactive hazard reporting among production staff
  • Manage corporate operational permits and licenses to maintain legal and safety standards
  • Facilitate formal risk assessments and update the corporate Risk Register to mitigate workplace hazards
  • Oversee in-house Permit-To-Work systems to control high-risk activities safely
  • Coordinate and execute site-wide statutory monitoring programs, including noise monitoring and medical surveillance, to ensure workplace safety
  • Maintain and update EHS communication channels to keep the workforce informed and aligned with safety policies
  • Conduct scheduled EHS inspections focusing on critical hazard zones and equipment to identify and address risks
  • Drive contractor EHS performance management by conducting site compliance walks and verifying adherence to safe work methods
  • Manage preventive maintenance and repairs for statutory equipment to ensure operational reliability and compliance
  • Oversee the upkeep, performance, and compliance of the Fire Protection System and related equipment to safeguard plant infrastructure

Required competencies and certifications

  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health (Level B)
  • Degree or Diploma in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical discipline

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health (Level C)
  • Registered Fire Safety Manager (FSM) with SCDF
  • Certification in Risk Management or Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (bizSAFE Level 2 / Level 4)
  • Certification in Managing Work-At-Height (WAH)
  • Experience interfacing with government bodies such as BCA, NEA, and SCDF regarding permits and engineering licensing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Power Automate, or equivalent digital systems to automate compliance tracking
