Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Android Software Engineer with 5 years of hands-on experience in native mobile application development using Android and IOS. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining Android applications with strong emphasis on performance, scalability, maintainability, and clean architecture.

Key Responsibilities

1. Application Development & Delivery

• Design and develop high-quality Android applications.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into clean and efficient code.
• Implement new features and enhance existing functionalities based on the product roadmap.
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Deliver features on time with minimal defect leakage.

2. Architecture & Technical Design

• Apply modern Android architectural patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture) and modular design principles for scalability, maintainability, and reusability.
• Integrate RESTful APIs, backend services, and third-party SDKs efficiently while ensuring data security and performance optimization.
• Implement local storage solutions (SQLite) and data caching strategies.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize memory usage, reduce ANR/crash rates, and ensure smooth application behaviour across Android devices and OS versions.

3. Testing & Quality Assurance

• Perform unit testing, debugging, and root cause analysis.
• Participate in peer code reviews to maintain high code quality and minimal production defects.

4. Maintenance

• Monitor post-release performance metrics and resolve production issues promptly.
• Propose technical enhancements to improve system stability and scalability.

Job Requirements / Specifications

Education & Background

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Strong foundation in OOP, data structures, and software engineering principles.

Experience & Technical Skills

• 5 years of hands-on mobile application development experience, with at least 2 years focused on IOS
• Strong command of Kotlin and/or Java, with solid understanding of Android SDK and Android Studio.
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs and JSON, experience with version control (Git).
• Experience implementing MVVM or Clean Architecture and working with Android Jetpack components.
