The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.

About the Team:
Shopee runs one of the largest logistics networks in Southeast Asia and moves millions of parcels a day across our fulfilment warehouses, sortation centres, linehaul trucks, and last-mile operations.
This role sits on the regional team that is instrumental in deciding how that network evolves: where to add capacity, what to automate, and how to deliver our parcels faster and cheaper. You will model operational decisions, and can go on-ground to pressure test and validate those decisions against real-world operations.
Job Description:
  • Build the analysis behind network decisions — capacity, cost-to-serve, speed, and where automation pays off using real operational data
  • Build forecasting and optimisation models, and use AI tools — including LLMs and agents — to automate the slow parts of analysis and competitive monitoring, so your time goes to judgment, not data pulls
  • Track the wider SEA logistics and e-commerce competitive landscape, and translate what's happening externally into "so what" for our strategy
  • Turn analysis into initiatives you own end-to-end: scope it, align stakeholders across markets, drive it, and measure whether it moved the metric
  • Engage with ground operations regularly — warehouses, hubs, sortation centres — so your recommendations are built on how operations really work
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Computer Science, Operations Research), or a quantitative degree. A master’s degree is advantageous but not required.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (including internship) in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain
  • Hands-on exposure to AI – ideally built something with ML, or with LLM/agent tooling — a model, a pipeline, an automation that did actual work
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
