Job Summary

The Commis Kitchen is responsible for assisting in food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting daily kitchen operations in accordance with the restaurant or hotel standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation (cutting, marination, basic cooking)
• Follow instructions from Chef de Partie / Sous Chef
• Maintain food quality and presentation standards
• Ensure kitchen hygiene and cleanliness at all times
• Practice FIFO (First In, First Out) for stock rotation
• Assist in stock storage and organization
• Handle kitchen equipment properly and safely
• Support the team during peak service hours (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
• Comply with SOPs and food safety standards (basic HACCP)

Requirements

• Minimum SPM or basic culinary training (certificate is an advantage)
• 0–2 years of kitchen experience (fresh graduates are welcome)
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure
• Good attitude, hardworking, and willing to learn
• Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
