Job Description

Responsibilities

Department: Development & Community Relations

Reports to: Head of Administration & Liaison, President’s Office

Role Overview

The Executive (Development & Community Relations) supports Hope Initiative Alliance (HIA)’s sustainability, growth, and social impact by contributing to fundraising, partnership development, and community engagement efforts. The role plays a key part in nurturing relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders across the People, Public, and Private sectors.

Through effective coordination, research, and communication, the Executive helps strengthen HIA’s network of supporters and ensures that fundraising initiatives, partnerships, and engagement activities are well-supported, well-documented, and aligned with organisational priorities and values.

Key Responsibilities

• Support fundraising campaigns, donor engagement efforts, and the management of giving platforms

• Assist in the preparation of funding proposals, donor reports, and related communications

• Conduct research, data collection, analysis, and stakeholder engagement to support grant applications and fundraising strategies

• ⁠Coordinate partnership engagements with corporates, foundations, and community partners

• Maintain accurate donor and partner databases, records, and documentation

• Support community relations and outreach initiatives across the People, Public, and Private sectors

• Assist in organising events, briefings, donor appreciation, and engagement activities

• Support reporting, governance, and compliance requirements related to funding and grants

• Assist with administrative processes related to Institution of a Public Character (IPC) renewal

• Support organisational branding through accreditation, recognition, and visibility across relevant platforms

• ⁠Assist in the conceptualisation and implementation of programmes and initiatives that support fundraising and appeals

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in business, communications, social sciences, or related field

• Interest in fundraising, partnerships, or social impact work

• Strong writing, coordination, and interpersonal skills

• Experience in non-profit or charity sector is an advantage
