Job Accountabilities

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with experience in various programming languages and development frameworks. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that meet our business needs and enhance the user experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and deploy software applications based on business requirements.
• Maintain and improve existing software systems to ensure they remain efficient and robust.
• Work closely with Project managers, System analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
• Tackle challenges with the guidance of senior developers, cultivating your troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in software development processes and methodologies.
• Contribute to the development of technical specifications and project plans.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless and efficient deployment of applications in AWS.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, and testing to ensure the quality and stability of the financial systems.
• Optimize and enhance existing payment and banking solutions to improve performance and scalability.
• Prepare technical and functional documentation to ensure supportability and maintainability of the core system assets.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering/ Information Technology or equivalent with good fundamental programming skills.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Groovy.
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks (e.g., Angular).
• Experience with backend frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).
• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure AWS / AliCloud / GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, EC2, NoSQL)
• Familiar with Web technologies: HTML, CSS, Ajax, JavaScript, JQuery, JQuery Mobile, VueJS, Node JS, XML, Java and Linux.
• Knowledge of Application Servers / Containers (JBoss EAP, Jetty, Tomcat).
• Team player, fast-learner, self-motivated, resourceful and good analytical skills.
• Preferred experience of 3-5 years of Software Engineering in Banking, Insurance, Loan and Fintech companies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
