Full Time Jr. Java Backend Developer Jobs, Salary up to SGD 4,500 in ELLIOTT MOSS CONSULTING PTE. LTD. Central Region (Singapore) - Maukerja

We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Jr. Java Backend Developer to take ownership of core server-side applications. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, hands-on backend development experience, and the ability to support both production issue resolution and new feature development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing complex technical issues, implementing change requests, improving system performance, and ensuring backend applications remain scalable, secure, and maintainable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the investigation and resolution of complex technical issues, production incidents, and performance bottlenecks reported by stakeholders or monitoring systems.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy new change requests and enhancements for backend applications.
• Ensure new features integrate smoothly with existing application architecture without causing regressions.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement long-term structural fixes.
• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and related frameworks.
• Work with relational databases and write efficient SQL queries for data retrieval, analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Review code to ensure quality, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Provide technical guidance to junior developers and support best practices in Java development.
• Identify opportunities to refactor and modernize legacy codebases to improve reliability, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate closely with QA teams, Product Managers, Frontend Developers, and other stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure end-to-end functionality.
• Support application maintenance, production deployment, troubleshooting, and documentation activities.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in backend application development.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java development.
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience in troubleshooting backend application issues and performance problems.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, backend services, and application integration.
• Experience with change request implementation, defect fixes, and production support.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement permanent technical fixes.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile delivery practices.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Good to Have

• Experience with ReactJS or NodeJS.
• Experience working with frontend teams to support full-stack application delivery.
• Knowledge of application modernization, refactoring, and legacy system support.
• Experience with CI/CD, version control, and deployment processes.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, microservices, or container-based environments.
