Role Purpose
The Assistant Community & Programming Manager supports the development and delivery of Mandala Club's curated programming ecosystem by owning one or more programming pillars.
Initially, this role will focus on Business & Technology, curating commercially relevant, intellectually stimulating experiences that help members better understand the ideas, industries and people shaping the future.
Working closely with the Community & Programming Manager, the role is responsible for researching emerging trends, developing compelling event concepts, building relationships with speakers and partners, and delivering exceptional programmes that strengthen Mandala's position as Singapore's leading cultural and intellectual members' club.
Key Responsibilities
1. Curated Programming
Own the development of an assigned programming pillar (initially Business & Technology) by:
- Developing talks, salons, workshops, roundtables, networking experiences and flagship events.
- Researching emerging trends and conversations across the assigned pillar.
- Identifying opportunities for recurring series and marquee programming moments.
- Ensuring programmes remain commercially relevant, culturally engaging and aligned with Mandala's editorial direction.
- Contributing ideas and opportunities to the wider annual programming calendar.
2. Speaker & Partnership Development
- Build and maintain relationships with founders, investors, operators, academics, policymakers, authors and industry leaders.
- Develop a strong pipeline of speakers, partners and collaborators.
- Identify strategic partnerships that strengthen Mandala's programming ecosystem.
- Support sponsorship and partnership opportunities where appropriate.
3. Programming Operations & Delivery
- Oversee the programming calendar across both curated and community-led initiatives
- Coordinate closely with Operations, F&B, Membership, and Marketing to ensure programmes are executable and well delivered
- Anticipate and resolve operational challenges to support smooth execution
- Prepare event briefs, timelines and run sheets.
- Maintain momentum and clarity across the programming pipeline
- Lead the planning and delivery of assigned programmes from concept through execution.
- Coordinate speakers, partners and suppliers.
4. Programming Stewardship
- Oversee the coordination and flow of programming activity across teams and formats
- Ensure clarity of direction, pacing, and quality across the programming pipeline
- Maintain oversight of execution standards while enabling effective day-to-day delivery
- Act as a key point of alignment and problem-solving within the programming ecosystem
- Support a healthy, accountable, and high-functioning programming environment
5. Community & Co-Creation
Working alongside Member Relations:
- Identify opportunities for member-led programming and collaborations.
- Engage members as speakers, moderators, hosts and contributors where appropriate.
- Support Circle-led initiatives that align with the programming strategy.
- Foster meaningful collaboration between members and external partners.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with:
- Member Engagement to translate member interests, attendance patterns, and feedback into viable programming
- Marketing & Design to inform programme narratives, positioning, and promotional priorities
- Operations & F&B to align on execution feasibility, service flow, and on-the-ground delivery
Ensure information flows clearly across teams to reduce friction, duplication, and misalignment.
6. Quality Control & Experience Design
- Uphold Mandala’s programming quality bar across all events
- Evaluate programmes beyond attendance metrics — including energy, flow, audience mix, and cultural relevance
- Identify which formats should be refined, scaled, or retired
- Continuously evolve Circles and programming models based on performance and feedback

Ideal Profile
- 3–5 years' experience in programming, partnerships, events, hospitality, consulting, media, innovation or community building.
- Strong interest in business, technology, entrepreneurship and future industries.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially aware with strong editorial judgement.
- Organised, proactive and calm under pressure.
- Able to balance creative ambition with operational excellence.
- Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating closely with senior leadership.
