Test Engineer

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Test Engineer to join our engineering team in Petaling Jaya. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing test programs, supporting production, troubleshooting technical issues, and driving continuous improvements in product quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize test programs to ensure robust test coverage, quality, and production efficiency.
• Analyze test data and system behavior to identify issues, troubleshoot failures, and implement effective solutions.
• Perform hardware and software debugging to resolve production and engineering issues.
• Drive yield improvement and test time reduction through test program optimization.
• Support quality investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for production and customer-reported issues.
• Participate in cost reduction initiatives by simplifying test processes and improving test efficiency.
• Develop and support reliability and validation testing activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations to resolve technical challenges.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test procedures, and engineering reports.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in test engineering, product testing, or validation engineering.
• Hands-on experience in:
• Test program development
• Hardware and software debugging
• Test automation
• Test equipment and measurement tools
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automated testing or production testing.
• Knowledge of test methodologies, validation, and reliability testing.
• Experience in process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
• Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or similar is an advantage.
• Understanding of quality management systems and root cause analysis techniques.

Pay: RM2,309.30 - RM10,000.00 per month
