Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party systems.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable code following coding standards.
• Participate in software design, code reviews, and technical discussions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Optimize application performance and ensure system scalability.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Project Managers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Prepare technical documentation and support deployment activities.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure applications meet security, performance, and reliability standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java (Java 8 or above).
• Experience with Spring Framework, including Spring Boot.
• Experience in developing RESTful Web Services.
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and Design Patterns.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• Strong SQL and database design skills.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Familiarity with Maven or Gradle build tools.
• Good understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, or Hibernate.
• Knowledge of Microservices architecture.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
• Experience with Redis or other caching technologies.
• Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Experience with SonarQube and code quality tools.

Banking Domain (Preferred)

Candidates with experience in banking or financial services are highly preferred. Experience in the following areas is an advantage:
