Experian are currently looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our growing Product Development team. The team is in the midst of a transformation to become a product-led organization. As such, we are constantly looking for new ways to make our products more efficient, reliable, and deliver more value to our clients. In this role you will expected to find operational and cost efficiencies through automation and monitoring, and contribute to our tech strategy for the future.
The ideal candidate should be an engineer with extensive experience implementing highly performance solutions in the AWS cloud.
Core responsibilities:
- Delivery of high-quality infrastructure as code solutions and CI/CD pipelines
- Implementation of monitoring solutions for client-facing products and internal data pipelines, including intelligent alarming for quicker incident detection and resolution
- Track and manage infrastructure & application vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, data scientists and product managers to ensure smooth deployment and operation of systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across production and non-production environments, providing root cause analysis and designing solutions to prevent future occurrences
- Determine areas of inefficient resource utilization and implement changes to ensure both platform stability and cost efficiency
- Communicate status and risks to stakeholders
- Development of and adherence to policies and procedures to ensure all work is executed to a high standard
- Proven track record of managing AWS workloads, with particular focus on ECS and EKS clusters
- Good understanding of key architectural principles such as high availability, disaster recovery and platform resiliency
- 5 years of working experience in the DevOps Environment
- Reporting to Engineering Manager
