The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise.

Your new responsibilities

• R&D Collaboration & Tool Qualification. Partner with R&D teams to support probing and testing tool qualification. Evaluate new test methods, tools, and technologies to ensure readiness for production. Provide technical feedback to improve test coverage, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Sustaining & Process Improvement. Work closely with sustaining engineering teams on maintenance strategies and process-related issues. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance yield, quality, and test efficiency. Troubleshoot test-related issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Risk Management & Process Control. Conduct risk assessments for test processes and equipment. Develop and maintain Control Plans to ensure process stability.
• Create and implement OCAP (Out of Control Action Plans). Prepare and maintain detailed Work Instructions for test operations.
• Equipment Uptime & Performance. Ensure testing tools meet or exceed Industrial Engineering (IE) uptime targets. Monitor equipment performance and drive actions to minimize downtime. Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

What we look for

• Degree / Master in EE / Mechatronic / Mechanical / Chemical Engineering.
• Min. 10 years experience in manufacturing environment, front end testing area.
• Min. 5 years experience in test and inspection engineering.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia
