About The Program

The IoT Engineer Apprenticeship Program is designed for graduates who aspire to develop intelligent, connected systems for the Internet of Things (IoT). Participants will gain hands-on experience in embedded programming, IoT communication protocols, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), database integration, and real-time web applications through practical, industry-oriented training 

The programme equips aspiring engineers with the technical knowledge and practical skills required to contribute to the development of intelligent, connected electronic systems.

Program Structure

The programme consists of 1 month of intensive technical training followed by 3 months of On-the-Job Training (OJT) with a company.

During the training phase at ASEM, Cyberjaya, you will gain practical exposure to:

• Electronics Instrumentation & Measurement
• Signal Conditioning with Operational Amplifiers
• Practical Layout and Routing of Mixed-Signal PCBs
• C Programming for Engineers
• Embedded C Workshop
• Efficient Implementation of DSP Algorithms with C
• Introduction to Linux – Command Line Power
• Bluetooth Low Energy Communication with Embedded Linux
• IoT Communication Protocols and Data Formats
• Data Storage and Access with MySQL and PHP
• Developing Realtime, Interactive Webpages

During the OJT phase, you will work alongside experienced engineers, applying your technical knowledge to real ASIC development projects while gaining valuable industry experience.

Responsibilities

As an IoT Engineer Apprentice, you will:

• Develop embedded applications for IoT devices.
• Implement IoT communication protocols and data exchange mechanisms.
• Integrate embedded devices with databases and cloud-connected applications.
• Develop real-time dashboards and web interfaces for connected systems.
• Test, troubleshoot, and optimise IoT applications for reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to build end-to-end IoT solutions.
